Orange county Residents OCHEEP! |
OCHEEP! Educates Orange County Residents about Big savings on Energy. ABOUT THE DUCT TEST…. Did your ductwork fail the Test? May be tested improperly……
Let us explain you the different ways to test Ductwork Properly.
1. TOTAL TEST. 2. OUT TEST.
The TOTAL TEST is connecting the Duct Blaster to the Ductwork and depressurized it to (-25 Pa) and that is going to give you the Total CFM Leakage.
The OUT TEST will include the same set up for the Total Test, plus Blower door in conjunction with duct Blaster. By doing this, we will depressurizing the house to (-25 Pa) with Blower Door and depressurizing duct system to zero. This will give you the actual leakage for the ductwork in CFM.
NOTE: Bellow we will going to give you an example of a Job, which includes a Total and Out Test and as you will see in this test. It will demonstrate that the Total Test will not pass the minimum Florida Code and the Out test will pass.
When we do a duct test we always do both TOTAL and OUT TEST. This is part of Our Energy Rating Inspection. |
