Minimum ventilation Standard

 

Natural Infiltration in the majority of Florida homes is not sufficient to meet the minimum ventilation standard set forth by the American Society of heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditionings Engineers, “ Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor air Quality”, ASHRAE 62-1989, which call for 0.35 ach or greater ventilation. Specifically this standard calls for ventilation equal to 0.35 ach or 15 CFM per person, where the number of persons is the number of bedrooms plus one, whichever is greater
